Tours
Tours cost the same as admissions and are available upon request for school groups, senior citizen groups,bus tours, and family groups. Tours must be made in advance (preferably at least a week's notice). For large groups with 12 or more adults,there is a welcome reception with refreshments available. In 2009, the Stafford Air & Space Museum hosted 100 tours and visits from groups and school classes from all over Oklahoma and parts of Texas.*
Field Trip Planning:
The Stafford Air & Space Museum is recognized as one of the nation’s premier space museums, and we offer teachers and students resources that are consistent with national science and math standards. We realize that field trips mean increased work load for all associated with the visiting school, and we pledge to offer a full-service experience that allows you to make one simple phone call to let us know when you're coming, then leave all the work to us once you walk in the door. The Stafford Air & Space Museum is a world-class space adventure!
Our field trips tours are suited for 2nd grade and up and a maximum of 40 students. The student price of $2 still applies for field trips. Bus drivers get in free!
Field Trip Reimbursement Program: We pay your gas!
Sponsored by the Inasmuch Foundation, the museum's program allows schools to receive $0.585 per mile for their roundtrip visit to the museum. The funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Schedule a tour today, request a reimbursement, and take advantage of this opportunity!
